A New Attitude of Gratitude

June 16, 2010

House of Prayer family focused on gratitude as a way of increasing their awareness to the dynamic presence of God. Beverly with Pastor Powell by her side, spoke of God’s intervention with her health. Life is far from perfect, but they could praised God because she could stand and speak of God’s goodness in her life.

Gloria said thank you because God opened doors that allowed her to work within her passion, and use art to inspire people to turn to Him.

Bodil invited her new friends who are a married couple serving with the Salvation Army (pictured below).

They have dedicated their lives to community service and mission work outside of the US. The people of H.o.P.E said a special prayer of blessing for them! It was their first time at House of Prayer and they were gifted with a quilt for the four year old girl they are bringing from Haiti in a couple of weeks. The little one had lost all of her teeth, but no adult has taken the time to tell her that they would grow back in a few years. Her adopting new mom told her that God would give her new teeth soon and the idea of a new smile gave this child something to look forward to!

The meeting had ended, but prayers for healing and sharing of stories on God’s goodness continued a while longer…

We say thank You for today’s blessings, and we say thank You by faith that in God, there is something good to look forward to.

See you at the House of Prayer!
