Nothing prepares a parent for the grief of loosing a child. Patricia learned about the death of her beloved John Jr this past Sunday, and the only place she could think of coming was to the House of Prayer on Wednesday night. People responded to her grief and testimony of finding some comfort in the reality that John was no longer in pain. Here is Pat, surrounded by the prayers of people for her, her husband and other children. Hope is possible in the midst of grief.
We don’t stop praying for “our” children. Myke brought forward his daughter, Shaina. She is a nurse and she will be leaving tomorrow for US AirForce training.
Shaina’s brother is a Marine. The House of Prayer Experience group met him when his father Myke and mother Jennifer presented him for prayer last year. Shaina also wants to make a difference and serve her God and country. Her parents are certainly proud of her, too and desire the best for their daughter. They came asking for a blessing on Shaina’s behalf.
Other parents and peers responded and prayed for Shaina’s safety and strength.
Our theme tonight was from 2 Chronicles 7:14-
If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
What does this passage mean to you and for your life today?
We hope to see you next Wednesday.
Until then, praying for our joy…and hope for the journey
