Praying for churches around the world and for their leaders

Saturday January 1, 2011

Feel free to use your own word within this outline!
(…Or beyond this outline. What matters it that we are unified in our prayer.)

Praise
Praise You God for who You are and for Your mercy and wisdom. Thank you for the gift of leadership. Thank you that you have pulled us out of darkness into your marvelous light to tell everyone we can about You and the plan you have for our lives. (See 1 Peter 2:2-10)

Reflect
Some of us remember someone who really influenced us on our spiritual or Christian walk. We thank you for these godly people who prayed for us and encouraged us in our faith. We remember those who have been given the responsibility of leadership.

Admit (or ask)
We confess that we cannot lead in the Spirit without your help or wisdom, God. We ask for spiritual protection and revival deep within! The temptations of going at it without consulting you or getting caught up in the business of life are very real. Please send Your direction and show us the way.

Yield
We surrender ourselves, our leaders to you. We trust that you will make us strong for the leadership challenges ahead this year as we all renew our own commitment to follow you. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ Name.

Amen.
