Jesus taught us how to pray

April 14, 2010

The Lord’s Prayer or “the disciple’s prayer,” says Dr. Morris, is the prayer Jesus taught His disciple when they inquired how they should address God. “Our Father” reminds us that we are all connected when we say ‘yes’ to God. People of all ages can relate to God as a loving parent. That’s how at least Jesus was helping His friends as He taught them that prayer is a conversation with a Person.

It is never too late or too early to be introduced to a loving heavenly Father. We welcomed our youngest first-time guest, along with her proud parents. (pictured here above)

Margate (pictured above) has known a lot of tough times but she inspires everyone this evening. She has undergone a serious surgery for a life-threatening condition. She marvels today at how God has taken care of her needs. Her heart is full of gratitude for God’s provision.

People responded to the call to surrender their brokenness to the Lord and experienced a House of Prayer…for all people.

More next week on the way Jesus prayed, and how we may learn from His life and example.
